Hands-on Review: Walton Primo NH3 & Primo NH3 Lite – Loaded with Features in Affordable Price

Recently a smartphone from Walton hit the market with entry-level price and mid-level features. Modeled as Primo NH3 the phone comes with 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP selfies-shooter. Running on Android 7.0 Nougat, the device is packed with 1.3GHz Quad Core Processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
Pricing at BDT 7790 the Primo NH3 comes with good looks along with 5.5 inch HD IPS Display. There’s a 2800 mAh battery which can manage a good battery backup. There is also a lite variant – modeled as Primo NH3 Lite the device comes with all the same features except the RAM, ROM, Rear Camera and priced at BDT 6490 only.

Button, port and speaker positioning is fairly standard for an entry-level device, with the power and volume keys on the right, USB and 3.5mm audio port at the top and the Walton Logo at the rear.

Both the devices have 5.5-inch display with a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Designed with the sense of touch in mind, the 2.5D glass will not only make the device more engaging, but also the smooth curves combined with the evenness are features to appreciate.

The Primo NH3 & NH3 Lite is powered by the Mediatek chipset with 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with Mali 400 GPU.

Primo NH3 is packed with 16GB of ROM & NH3 Lite has 8GB of ROM while the storage can be expanded up to 32GB. The Primo NH3 has also 2GB of RAM to run the device more smoothly, while Primo NH3 Lite comes with 1GB of RAM.

Camera Performance:

There is no need to compromise on the quality of the photos as both the Primo NH3 and NH3 Lite come with BSI 13MP rear camera with LED flash for taking amazing photos.

Both the devices have BSI 5MP front camera with LED flash for better selfies even in low-lit or dark environments.

Gaming Performance:

Though Primo NH3 Lite is an entry level device, the quad-core processor of it ensures decent graphic speed in playing entry and mid-level games.

Battery Life:

With optimized software and 2800 mAh of battery the Walton Primo NH3 manages to cut more than a day. Talking about the screen-on-time it gave me fair amount of 6.5 hours, which is good enough.

Pricing:

Well configured Primo NH3 costs BDT 7790 only, while the Primo NH3 Lite with 1GB of RAM costs BDT 6490 only. Considering the specs the pricing is worthy indeed.

Final Words:

The Walton Primo NH3 is definitely a very capable affordable Smartphone with decent design, good camera and nice features. The things I liked on Primo NH3 were its affordable pricing, good camera and 5.5-inch 2.5D curved display. For better gaming and movie experience in below 8K budget Primo NH3 can be a better choice for you. And if you wish to spend no more than BDT 6.5K then you may go for the Primo NH3 Lite.
