Bangladeshi new local handset brand DiGo Mobile has introduced an emergency phone of model of SOS P241 phone which will enable user to reach emergency need and extra power back up. Company termed the phone as ‘Power House’ for its capacity to hold 7500 mAh power in a single battery. SOS feature of the phone will assist user in emergency connecting five persons (which are fixed earlier) with direct call and text. The company, in a news release, informed that the phone of maximum power capacity in the country will be active for 29 days in a single full charge. Besides, the phone will role as ‘Power Bank’ connecting three phones in same time. Battery of the gadget can be used separately as power bank. So anyone can pick the phone as power back up in case of long drive or busy day. Besides, user can notify near ones with the emergency alarm of the phone to assist. There are Wireless FM radio and Box Speaker features in the phone that gives extra taste of music to user. There is given a free LED light with each unite of phone which will enlighten in case of study time and other tasks at remote area of the country where load shedding is regular item. Radium jacket is attached with the phone so anyone can find it in dark of night easily.
The duel-SIM-slot phone has a display of 2.4 inches display unite and rear camera, super bright torch (focusing like three-battery torch), GPS, SOS, Blue tooth, Wireless FM, Box Speakers and others innovative feature. Full wave charger of the gadget will charge the phone fully in half time earlier than other phones. The 7500 mAh battery will be charged fully in 4 hours. The retail price of the emergency phone is tagged to Tk 2690. There are a USB LED light, Three-in-One charger cable as inbox items with the phone. Regarding the launching of the emergency phone, DiGo Mobile Chief Executive Officer Khondoker Ershad Jahan said, “We tried to introduce innovative phone in crowd of traditional phones in the country. People from all walks of life including children, oldest one, victims, music lover as well as travelers get benefit from the phone”. He suggested mobile phone users to pick an emergency phone besides using a regular phone to get extra service as power bank. It’s should be mentioned that after the devastating earthquake in Nepal in 2015, China developed the innovative phone to support people in emergency. Red Cross sent 1 lakh of units of the phone to Nepal to survive people. From then there is raised an extra demand of the phone across the world. DiGo Mobile has brought the phone for first time in Bangladesh.
